This is Goodbye

I really hate to do this after my post yesterday, but trust me, this is the story of my life. I’m like, “Oh hey, I’m going to do this.” And God is like, “Oh hey, no, you’re not.” It’s all good though.

After further consideration, God really laid it on my heart that this blog has served it’s purpose in my life.  God may use the articles here to get others to consider artists and art in the light of the gospel, and it is my prayer that this will spur thought, writing, and action on the part of you, my readers.

I am so thankful for last year and all of the things God taught me through this ministry. It was a hard year, with hard lessons, but God has been good and faithful. And now it is time for me to more practically apply what I’ve learned in my life with a dream that long outdates this ministry!

I am really thankful for the many artists who prayed and served alongside me in this: Kathleen C., Seth, RJ, Kathleen S., Hope, Leslie, Emily, and Abi. I would not have been able to do this without your insight and experience. Thank you for giving your time.

I am also incredibly thankful for the support of my former church, Restoration Family Church of McKinney. I am not there anymore, but I am so thankful for the prayer and accountability that I received as I launched this blog from Pastor Derrick and Sister Melanie Scobey, Cynthia F., Linda S., and Jenay S. Thank you for the opportunities to serve in the arts at RFCOM, to be challenged and applying what I’m learning.  It meant alot to me then, means a lot to me now.

And thank you. Thank you for reading, commenting, emailing, sharing. What an encouragement to know that this was such a timely and necessary topic. May it continue to grow through you.

Normally, when I’m done with a blog, I close it down. I’m not going to do that with this, because I think we have some great material here.

Check it out. Share it. Talk about it.

Thanks again,

Lydia Thomas and the FortyOne20 Ministries team
